The M42 Duster was introduced to service in 1952 as the standard armoured air-defence gun. It mounts twin 40mm Bofors auto-cannons, giving the Duster a rate of fire of 2×120 rounds per minute (RPM). Though retired to the National Guard in the early 1960s, the M42 Duster was recalled to frontline service during Vietnam when the HAWK missile system prove ineffective at short range.

Note:
The M41 Duster can be used as an anti-aircraft option by American Forces in 'Nam, West German Forces in Checkpoint Charlie, and Jordanian Forces in Fate of a Nation.
