Hard Knox Games is proud to announce Wolfkrieg 2027: Early War. This is a Flames of War Version 4 tournament. This will be a two-day, five round, red-vs-blue event. We will be doing 100 points for Wolfkrieg 2027. This event will be held here in Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
For 2027 Wolfkrieg will be held on March 6th and 7th.
Cost: $50...all proceeds going to venue/logistics/t-shirts/trophies/ etc. with all remaining dollars going to prize support.
3 Rounds Saturday, 2 Rounds Sunday.
Players who sign up by February 14th and get us their t-shirt size information will receive a T-shirt. We recommend that you give us your shirt size when you purchase your ticket preferably in comments on your order, or in email. That link...once the design is finalized...will be here <<>> People who like the shirt but are unable to attend will also have the ability to order a shirt from that link.
We can accommodate 64 players at this event. The sign-up link will allow you to choose "pay at pickup"...please do not use that method without contacting Chad first. If you choose that method without contacting us first we cannot guarantee you a T-shirt, nor can we guarantee your slot if the event fills up and other folks pay ahead of time. You can signup under your preference of Allied or Axis here (available soon):
https://www.hardknoxgames.com/search/wolfkrieg/
This event will be capped at 64 players, and we expect there may even be a waiting list as Early War has been anticipated for quite a while. As such if you determine you cannot go please let us know ASAP so those slots can go to another player. Cancelling early enough will also qualify you for a store credit for your purchases.
In the event that you need to cancel after you have paid to register:
If you formally cancel before February 15th you will get $50 STORE CREDIT. After that date, if you formally cancel before noon Monday March 1st you will get $25 STORE CREDIT to use at www.hardknoxgames.com
This tournament will be at 100 points. The theme this year is Early War. Lists can be made from any of the released Early War books including Blitzkrieg and presumably Barbarossa and potentially Battleaxe. All units must be from these books or specified units, and no black-box support or formations may be taken from other books.
We will make an effort to match players from the same book (and formations!) with opponents from the same book (and formations!) for the first two rounds of the event. After that point pairings will be red-vs-blue to the best extent possible. Where pairings could be chosen from multiple players at the same score preference will be made for those matchups from the same book when it does not interfere with players having already played.
We will have physical awards (plaques, trophies, etc.) for: Best Axis, Best Allied, 2ic Axis, 2ic Allied, Best Sport, Best Table, and Best Painted. Winners are determined by Wins, Victory Points, and Strength of Schedule in that order.
As we are promoting this as a red-vs-blue event and lists do not always adequately balance out between campaigns we are going to do all rankings as alternate placement of rankings between sides. This means for example the best Allied player may be 1st place, the best Axis player would be 2nd place, then the best axis or allied player would be 3rd or 4th depending on their points, then the next pair would be 5th or 6th, etc, etc. Players are playing to see how well they do compared to their own side in a red vs blue event. Because big events give big points for Battlerankings players prefer that it not be submitted as two separate rankings for each faction.
Monetary prizes will be awarded by random drawing. Each player will receive one ticket for each of the following:
Participating in the tournament
Being in the Top 3 ranking Axis or Allied players
Winning 3 or more games
Bringing a Themed Table
Getting 2 votes for best sport from your opponents
Getting 5 votes for best sport (one from each opponent)
Submitting a verified list and bringing a second army of the other faction to ensure red-vs-blue balance.
For every 3 full votes for best paint job
Having your Army list sent to [email protected] by 11am on Wednesday the 24th of February.
We will use the most current extended Battleplans with a single non-recurring (per day) die-roll to determine missions. "Missions for Flames of War" and "Lessons from the Front" can be found at this link: https://www.battlefront-community.com/article/flames-of-war-downloads/
If there are dynamic points adjustments or new mission adjustments to the battleplans we will make an announcement about how they will be included.
In the event that new lists are released on Forces of War or there are any miscellaneous questions that a player would like to submit for consideration of inclusion you may contact the T.O. (Chad Underdonk) via email at [email protected]
